New statewide emergency order that requires everyone ages five and over to wear masks or face coverings in public spaces with some limited exceptions.

That announcement is available here:

Learn more about the new requirements and what it means for you at the FAQ document available here: https://evers.wi.gov/Documents/COVID19/FaceCoveringFAQ.pdf

The Vilas County Public Health Department trusts that our residents and businesses will make good decisions moving forward from the Wisconsin Supreme Court Decision with Safer at Home. The order is gone, the virus is not. The Health Department would like everyone to continue to practice the following guidance:

  1. Practice the 6 feet Social Distancing
  2. Avoid gathering in groups (limit to 10 people)
  3. Wash your hands
  4. When you feel ill, do not go to work, the store, or anywhere else
  5. Cover coughs
  6. Wear a cloth face covering/mask when out in public - see links above for more detailed information

If you are over the age of 65, live in nursing home or long‐term care facility, or have an underlying health condition, please continue to stay home and take personal measures to stay safe.

Local businesses, shops, restaurants and attractions may be closed or offer limited services due to COVID-19.  Businesses should follow the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) guidelines that are on their website: https://wedc.org/reopen‐guidelines/ to keep staff and patrons healthy. We believe that the public will expect businesses to follow the guidance, like social distancing and personal hygiene, provided by WEDC and supported by public health. We also expect businesses to be diligent about having any employees who are sick to stay home as this is a common way for illnesses to spread.

What THV is doing to protect owners, guests and staff:

  • Thorough and extra sanitation of each unit, particularly high touch areas following CDC guidelines.
  • All units are being fogged with disinfectant between stays.
  • All “Welcome Packets” and keys will be made available in the drop box found at the garage for owners and guests starting at 3 PM on the day of check-in.
  • The THV Manager will be available by phone for questions between the hours of 11AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday.
  • Owners may contact the THV Manager to discuss options if they wish to change their week to later in 2020.

Along with you, we look forward to the day when Tree House Village and the beautiful Wisconsin Northwoods will be back to a more “normal” state of functioning.

Please call us with any questions.

Thank you! Your THV Board of Directors
